 Classes

•             F18

•             Hobie 16

•             Weta 4.4 Trimaran

•             Open Catamaran Spinnaker

•             Open Catamaran

•             Min 3 boats to constitute a class

 

Course:

1.            Two days of buoy racing in the Currituck Sound.

2.            All races are weather dependent and will be changed to fit conditions.

3.            Courses- class starts,  multiple races, PRO to set courses

 

Details:

•             Each day’s race will begin at 11am. Unless RC changes due to weather

•             Course races – Starts by class, 5 minute intervals

•             3-5 races, weather dependent for course race day

•             Rules: Racing Rules of Sailing 2021-2024

•             Class awards will be done for classes of 3 or more. Race Director has right to change course based on conditions or create a separate course for different classes of boats to finish within a reasonable similar time.

•             Volunteers- please contact us to volunteer for registration, race committee and/or safety boats

•             Prizes awarded per class placement 1-3

 

Safety:

•             A waiver must be signed, and you are responsible for your own safety.

•             There will be a safety boat available, just in case

•             A USCG or equivalent PFD must be worn at all times

•             VHF radio monitoring channel 7 or a mobile phone must always be on board

•             GPS units are permitted

 

Fee

·         Entry Fees are $55 for single handed and $75 for double handed

·         Event registration is set up at The Club Spot- ENTRY FORM

·         Saturday night social, Sunset at the pavilion

 Schedule:

Thursday, September 7^th, 2023

·         Boat set up and sailing available at the North Marina

·         Parking for boats will be available at the marina. Trailers can be  placed at our shop at 104 Shores Avenue, Point Harbor

 Friday, September 8^th, 2023

·         Boat set up and sailing at the North Marina

·         Registration, at the tent from 4-6 PM

·         Parking for boats will be available at the marina. Trailers can be  placed at our shop at 104 Shores Avenue, Point Harbor

·         Cooler bar opens at 6 PM, West Side Pavilion for Sunset

Saturday, September, 9^th, 2023

·         Registration from 8-9:00

·         Boat set up by 10:00 AM

·         Skippers Meeting at 10:00

·         Race start at 11am

·         Last boat signal by 3 PM

·         Cooler bar opens at tent on ramp side of Marina- tall tales of the day

 Sunday, September 10^th, 2022

·         Registration from 8-9:30

·         Boat set up by 10:00 AM

·         Skippers Meeting at 10:00

·         Race start at 11am

·         Last boat signal by 2 PM

·         Awards ASAP
